    General features

    Link checking features
    Clipboard Data from link checking procedures can be sent to the clipboard in a number of different formats.
    Data export All link checking data can be saved for later retrieval in Link Checker Pro format. Data can also be exported in a number of HTML, Excel, and text formats.
    E-mail links Able to list e-mail links within each webpage.
    Favourites All links within the Internet Explorer favorites folder can be used with a single mouse click.
    Highlighted problem links Data shown in table format can be coloured or hidden according to its attributes such as Status and Content. This allows the easy targeting of problem or missing links within large websites.
    Links in and out All links into and out of a particular URL are available. Easily allows the tracking down of URLs linking to problem/missing URLs.
    Link information Provides full information for each link checked including Title, Status, Protocol, Content, Size, Links In, Links Out, and Last Modified/Created date.
    Skip OK links Option to skip links with an OK status when retrieving saved data. This allows the checking of only missing and other problem links in large sites whose data has been previously saved.
    Table format Link checking results are displayed in an easily understood table format.
    Validates URL lists Able to import and validate a list of URLs saved in text format (one URL per line).

    Technical features
    Authentication Checks sites and pages requiring server side authentication.
    Cookies Deals with all cookies types.
    Dynamic pages Checks all types of dynamically generated pages including Active Server Pages (ASP), Cold Fusion (CFM), CGI, Java Servlets (JSP), and PHP.
    HTML code The HTML code behind any URL can be easily viewed.
    HTTP protocol Ability to customise the HTTP protocol value (i.e., 0.9, 1.0, or 1.1) when contacting server. Allows the testing of server responses for different Web Browser versions.
    Internet protocols Check all major Internet protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and MAILTO.
    MIME/Content-Type Displays the MIME and Content Type for each link.
    Proxy server Able to connect to the network through a proxy server including user authentication.
    Redirects Option of whether to handle server redirect requests transparently or to display the redirect server code, e.g., 301 Moved Permanently.
    Server codes Displays all 40 possible server codes returned by the server including 200 OK, 301 Moved Permanently, 404 Not Found, and 500 Internal Server Error.
    Server response Displays the header information returned by the server for each link checked. Allows easy diagnosis for server problems.
    User agent Ability to customise User Agent header when contacting server. Allows the testing of server responses for different Web Browser versions.


    Restricting link checking
    Authentication Option to ignore authentication requests when trying to access restricted websites and directories.
    External links Option of whether to skip the checking of external links, i.e., only check links on the same server as the base URL.
    First URL Option to only check links contained within the base URL.
    Ignore case Option to ignore case (e.g., "abc" and "ABC") when comparing URLs.
    Internal links Option of whether to skip the checking of internal links, i.e., skip all links on the same server as the base URL.
    Script Option to ignore all HTML code between tags.

    Website mapping features
    Archived data Able to create graphical website maps from any website data saved in Link Checker Pro format.
    Clipboard Website maps can be saved to the clipboard for export to other applications.
    Colour options Able to change many aspects of the website map including URL node colour and link colour and thickness.
    Export Website maps can be exported in bitmap (BMP) and vector (EMF) format.
    Full link data Able to show full information for any URL selected within the sitemap including Title, Status, Protocol, Content, Size, Links In, Links Out, and Last Modified/Created date.
    Links in Selecting any URL within the sitemap will graphically indicate all links into the URL.
    Links out Selecting any URL within the sitemap will graphically indicate all links out of the URL.
    Website summary Option to only show a graphical summary of the website. This option is useful for websites containing thousands of links.
    Zoom Ability to zoom into and out of any particular section of the website map.
